The Old Way - Louisiana Highway 1
Highway 1 slashes across the entirety of Louisiana.
In its heyday, it was a lifeline.
Today, it’s mostly ignored in favor of the bland but faster Interstate 49.
I-49 doesn’t pass through Louisiana as much as it passes it by, like a stranger on the street.
But Highway 1 knows Louisiana. It knows its secrets and its sins. It knows its hopes and dreams, most faded, some new.
This project hopes to capture the real feel of the old way across Louisiana.
